The Warm Homes: Local Grant (WHLG) scheme aims to improve the warmth and comfort of homes with energy efficiency improvements. Stratford-on-Avon District Council is working with EON and Act on Energy to deliver the WHLG programme.

The Warm Homes: Local Grant awards funding to Local Authorities to help them upgrade energy inefficient homes of low-income households in their local area. Its focus is on improving the most poorly insulated owner occupier and private rented homes with energy efficiency installations including low carbon heating such as Air Source Heat Pumps.
Please note that this scheme has limited availability per year. If funding runs out for this year, then your application will be put forward to the next year.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council has obtained funding through the UK government’s Help to Heat schemes to improve the energy efficiency of low-income households with low Energy Performance Certificate ratings.
A range of energy efficiency improvements have been made available through this scheme and include clean heating solutions, such as air source heat pumps and insulation measures.
Owner Occupier and Private Tenants do not need to contribute towards this is grant scheme, but certain criteria will apply. Private landlords may be required to contribute depending on the amount of properties they are applying for.
Please note that all applications are subject to a technical surveys and an application acceptance does not guarantee that work will go ahead.
