Carers Week 2026
This week, we are highlighting Carers Week. Our team work in partnership with a lot of carer charities and organisations to help provide support. You can check out the events page on our website to see when we are attending any support events near you.
Carers can sign up for the Priority Services Register with their energy/water supplier and District Network Operators. This will make it easier to communicate with suppliers on behalf of the person you are caring for, and also provide emergency support in cases of power cuts or outages. This can be done online or over the phone with your supplier, or you can contact us.
Our service also allows carers to act as a proxy so that the people they care for are able to get access to energy-saving advice and support with energy bills. Our phone advisors and outreach officers are trained in vulnerable consumer policies and are able to advise you on the support you are entitled to from your supplier. We also work with a network of other local organisations to help provide holistic support and signpost/refer to other charities that can provide non-energy support.
If you are a full-time carer, or caring takes up a considerable amount of your time, then you may be eligible for assistance through social water tariffs, energy support funds, insulation and heating upgrade grants, energy debt schemes, and more. Our team can check your eligibility and support you with your energy bills.
