Energy costs can be a minefield. From confusing tariffs to hidden charges, it’s easy to end up overpaying without realising it. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Omnium, a trusted team of energy experts, to offer a completely free Business Energy Health Check for your organisation. The service is open to all types of organisations, including charities, SMEs and large businesses.
You don’t need to switch suppliers and there are no hidden fees. You’ll receive expert guidance on where you might be overspending – and practical advice on how to fix it. If you do decide to switch, Omnium will take care of everything which will mean no lengthy phone calls with suppliers, no admin hassle and no disruption to your operations.
Many organisations may be paying more for their energy due to uncompetitive tariffs, outdated capacity allowances, or contracts that miss out on available exemptions.
This isn’t just about chasing the lowest rate. Real savings often come from correcting issues such as:
Omnium will dig into the details using two routes - for larger users, you can expect a full technical review and, for smaller organisations, Omnium will provide guidance on how to check and claim potential rebates.

Reducing your energy costs isn’t only about switching suppliers. Often, the real savings come from spotting the energy you’re wasting every day – and stopping it.
Common issues include:

If there’s potential for larger savings through upgrades or renewable technologies, you’ll receive a clear roadmap.
Omnium is a certified B Corporation and ISO accredited, meaning they operate with purpose, transparency and accountability. Their approach is built around putting clients first, offering honest supplier-independent advice and prioritising sustainability alongside savings.
They have over expertise in the private, public and charitable sectors, and tailor every recommendation to your unique needs – not supplier targets.
Transparency matters. If you choose to move forward with a new energy contract through Omnium, Act On Energy receives a commission. That funding helps support our free energy advice services. So, when you save money and improve efficiency, you help even more people benefit from our support.
If you win, we win.

How do I get started?
You can request a callback from a member of our Business Development team through the link below or by emailing partnering@actonenergy.org.uk. During the call, we will ask for a few details about your organisation and a copy of a recent energy bill to start the process.
Is this really free?
YES - the energy bill check and switching service is free of charge. If you do decide to switch, then a small rate will be added to the unit rate on your new contract that we get a percentage of. This will be discussed before you decide to switch.
What's the benefit of going through Act on Energy?
As a charity, we are very cautious of who we partner with as we want to make sure that all our partners share our values, so we have already done the due-diligence for you. If you do decide to switch, then you will be donating to a charity working to eliminate fuel poverty and contribute to a net-zero community.
What if I don't want to change energy contracts?
If you don't want to switch, then you can still benefit from the energy check free of charge. The tariff check doesn't have to be immediate - you can check your tariff options at a later date if you are undecided, but the prices could change until you lock in.
Send us your name, organisation, contact number and a bit of information about what you're interested in.
