Volunteers are needed to trial the ‘RadBot’ – a new innovative technology that heats up rooms when occupied and reduces the temperature when they are empty. It is claimed to help reduce heating bills by up to 30% – that’s equivalent to around £180 per year for a typical semi-detached home.
Eligible householders will receive £150 of shopping vouchers and keep the RadBots in their home.
Volunteers must:
- Be ECO3 or ECOflex eligible (see here for details).
- Have a gas boiler with radiators and standard heating controls including programmer, room thermostat and TRVs (thermostatic radiator valves) fitted to the majority of radiators.
- Have a WiFi connection.
- Provide access to their property for installation of the Radbots and monitoring equipment connected to their router and for subsequent visits to aid with ongoing monitoring.
