First time gas central heating
During the COVID 19 lockdown we are still taking enquiries for this project but we will only be able to record householder interest at this stage with a view to processing an application once government guidance allows.
The Warmer Worcestershire Network has received funding from the National Grid Warm Homes Fund for 150 first time gas central heating systems in urban areas. The project will run until May 2021 unless all funds are allocated before this date.
Eligibility
- no existing central heating at the property
- in an urban area near to a mains gas supply
- privately owned (improvements to social housing cannot be funded)
- householder or tenant is in receipt of qualifying benefits
All installs are subject to technical survey by an appointed contractor and gas transporter
Privately rented homes
Private landlords can apply for 50% funding towards the cost of a first time gas central heating system. In addition to the eligiblity criteria above, the property must have an existing Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating in a band A to E.
