At Act on Energy we strive to engage with householders to support them through their energy journey offering a full Home Energy Support Service and free, impartial advice with the householder at the centre. Act on Energy is a ‘not for profit’ organisation and a registered environmental charity.
This includes everything from energy bill advice, fuel Switching, referrals for physical measures, grant availability and onwards referrals to other agencies if appropriate.
We also do this through managing supportive energy and projects to assist people in their energy journey as well as ensuring appropriate help is provided for those with health conditions affected by the cold. Projects and grants include help for those with long term health problems, those on benefits with low income and loft and cavity wall insulation to name a few.
We ensure that we handhold the most vulnerable but empower others to make ongoing energy decisions that will provide better health and economic outcomes for residents of Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Coventry, Solihull and surrounding areas.
Several of our services include visits to your home in certain circumstances to give you on the spot advice; attend local exhibitions and events to promote energy efficiency; develop school projects that involve the whole community; develop and carry out local schemes for rural communities and local businesses; we also carry out home energy surveys to provide Energy Performance Certificates or using a thermal imaging camera to identify problems with insulation.
We are base in Wellesbourne, a little village in south Warwickshire and lots of our work is relevant across the country as well as the designated areas we serve. We are not a national organisation but you are free to use the information on our website, wherever local areas only you are.
Our funders include national, regional and local authorities as well as charities; health professionals and partners within the energy sector. We work with a number of organisations and provide a range of services such as advice, consultancy, conferencing and training in order to support people in our local communities and to meet their needs of affordable warmth and energy.
