Are you worried about your energy bills? Or find the idea of changing your energy supplier too difficult to deal with?
If you think either of the above statements apply to you, then why not sign up for Warwickshire County Council’s Switch and Save initiative? The scheme is managed for the Council by iChoosr, a specialist collective switching organisation.
While there is no guarantee you will make a saving, since 2012, iChoosr schemes have helped over 650,000 UK households save on average £243 per year.
How to register
The process is simple. If you are comfortable using the internet you can register online yourself or alternatively, if you, or someone you know, does not have access to the internet, you can call Act on Energy on 0800 988 2881.
Whichever way you choose to register, the key information you will need is the name of your energy supplier, the name of the tariff you are currently on and your annual usage measured in kWh for each fuel (electricity or gas) you use. This information will be on your latest bill in a section called About your tariff.
Once you are registered, iChoosr will contact you to confirm your registration.
How the scheme works
Three times a year, iChoosr hold an auction with energy suppliers and selects the company that offers the lowest price per customer at that time. iChoosr will send registered householders, a quote showing whether the Switch and Save tariff is cheaper than their existing arrangement and the potential savings that could be made.
If householders wish to take up the offer, they let iChoosr know on 0800 048 8116 and they will organise the switch for you. If you do not wish to switch, simply do nothing and your existing arrangement with your energy supplier will continue.
It’s that simple! iChoosr and Act on Energy will do all the legwork for you. All you need to do is have the details on your bill handy. If you live outside Warwickshire you may still be able to join a scheme – click here to find out more.
